Although Shrewsbury is inland, the town is well serviced by Britain's extensive waterways. The Shropshire Union Canal is Shropshire's main canal it runs from Ellesmere Port to Wolverhampton. A canal trip is an excellent way to see our lovely countryside.

Also running in part through Shrewsbury's lush scenery is the famous meandering river Severn. Forming a loop around our county town, a river trip on the crystal clear water is the perfect way to see the town.
